Coconut Triumph at First Workshop

by | Feb 15, 2011 | Coconut in the Media

We had the very first Coconut Marketing Workshop on 9th Feb and it went even better than expected. There were 5 speakers in all and it was a very interactive day with franchisors, from a range of different sectors and from Franchisor newbies to the industry to a Franchisor that has been trading for 40 years!

Here’s some of the feedback we received:

“A really enjoyable event. Good content, presented by knowledgeable and enthusiastic individuals. Great location! A good opportunity to network and to learn more about the additional tools available to aid/ improve the recruitment process. Many thanks.”
Steve Calvert, Safeclean

“The workshop was absolutely fabulous. It was a day packed full with everything you need for your marketing plan – all the different elements. I’d really recommend anyone – be they a new franchisor or someone who’s been going for a long time – to come to a workshop, because they’ll get a lot out of it.”
Lisa Curtis, Rosemary Bookkeeping

“All the speakers were obviously experts in their field and were very thought provoking. If you are a franchisor and really want to step yourself up to the next level of professionalism, this is definitely the place to come and learn some extra tips that’ll really take you to a whole new height.”
Carl Jarvis, Concentric Lettings

“I found the day very useful, it was great to find out some more selling ideas and to gain focus on recruitment methods. The speakers were all very friendly and helpful. Lunch was amazing! Thank you.”
Nicky Kay, FitKid

The location was Langtry Manor in Bournemouth, which was built in 1877 by Edward VII for his mistress, the actress Lillie Langtry. I can honestly say it’s the nicest hotel I’ve been to in the city, packed full of history and rather lovely features. At lunchtime the waiter pointed out a small window above the dining room that Edward used as a peephole to size up the guests below and decide whether he wanted to join them for dinner! The waiter didn’t know whether there were any ghosts, but the receptionist told us there was a bit of supernatural activity…apparently Lillie has been seen wandering the grounds…! Ghost-hunter or otherwise, it’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Having a giggle at lunchtime!

The next Workshop is on Weds 2nd March in Winchester and is already more than half booked up, as is the 13th April back at the Langtry Manor in Bournemouth… so it looks like we’ll be having another very enjoyable and helpful event focused on franchise recruitment.
